Our Truck Paint Correction Detail is our most intensive painted-surface restoration service for heavy vehicles. It is designed for truck cabs showing heavier oxidation, swirl marks, haze, wash damage and other visible paint defects. A carefully selected multi-stage cutting and refining process is used to achieve the best safe improvement in paint clarity, colour depth and gloss. The objective is significant restoration—not guaranteed removal of every scratch or defect.

Exterior Process:
- Detailed inspection of the cab and painted surfaces
- Paint-thickness readings taken across suitable panels
- Previous repairs and areas of concern identified where possible
- Thorough pressure rinse and commercial-grade pre-wash
- Bug residue pre-treated where required
- Safe contact wash using suitable wash media
- Wheels, wheel faces and accessible wheel arches thoroughly cleaned
- Steps, fuel tanks and accessible lower exterior areas cleaned
- Door jambs and entry areas cleaned
- Chemical iron, tar and road-film decontamination where required
- Mechanical clay decontamination where safe and necessary
- Vehicle thoroughly rinsed and safely dried
- Sensitive trims, decals, edges and adjoining surfaces carefully masked
- Test section completed to establish a safe correction process
- Initial machine-cutting stage to reduce suitable oxidation and defects
- Refining or finishing stage to restore clarity, depth and gloss
- Localised additional refinement where included and safe
- Paintwork prepared for protection
- Protective sealant applied to corrected painted surfaces
- Exterior glass and mirrors cleaned
- Exterior plastics, trims and tyres dressed where appropriate
- Accessible exterior metalwork lightly cleaned and presented
- Final inspection under suitable lighting

Expected Result: A significant improvement in the appearance of suitable painted surfaces, with reduced oxidation, haze, swirl marks, wash damage and other visible defects. The achievable result will depend on paint thickness, paint type, previous repairs, defect depth, surface accessibility and the condition of the existing finish.

Important Condition: Paint correction removes a controlled amount of the upper paint surface. Kiwi ShineWorX reserves the right to reduce or stop correction in areas where paint thickness, previous repairs, panel edges, decals, heat exposure or paint condition make further polishing unsafe. Deep scratches, stone chips, corrosion, clearcoat failure, paint delamination and defects extending through the paint layers cannot be corrected through polishing. Safe elevated access may be required for high-roof cabs and upper surfaces. Access requirements will be included in the inspection and quotation.

Timeframe: The required timeframe depends on the cab size, roof height, paint condition, defect severity, accessibility and the total surface area included.
